About Peter Albrecht
Hello there! I’m a jack-of-all trades engineer who loves to build things, both hardware and software. Officially, I studied economics and physics at Claremont McKenna College, rewrote a national budget after cold-calling an embassy and asking nicely, landed a small airplane by myself, speak a bunch of languages, and built some things you can see on this website!
Unofficially, I serve 130 meals at my local soup kitchen every week, read way more than is healthy, argue about geopolitics, once accidentally shut down Boston’s entire subway system, and sometimes climb on top of big rocks. You can find me in the Boston area (or anywhere, for the right opportunity), send me an email, or call/text me at (703) 763-0430.
About This Website
Every personal website has to have a paragraph about how it came together, so here we go: Most modern websites are terrible bloated messes, but not this one! I built it by hand from raw HTML, CSS, and Javascript, so it’s lightweight and loads fast. On the server side, Ubuntu and Apache Just Work™, and I’m not inclined to fix something that isn’t broken. Anyway, this site serves as my personal portfolio and a showcase of some of the projects I've worked on.
